The Sunflower Appeal gives local people the opportunity to remember and celebrate loved ones while supporting the incredible work carried out every day by Bury Hospice.

What Is the Sunflower Appeal?
The Sunflower Appeal offers members of the community the opportunity to dedicate a sunflower in memory of someone special.
Each sunflower represents a personal tribute and forms part of a beautiful display within the grounds of Bury Hospice.
The display creates a peaceful and colourful space where families and friends can reflect, remember and celebrate the lives of those they have lost.
Every dedication also helps raise funds that directly support the hospice’s ongoing work.
How the Appeal Works
Anyone wishing to take part can dedicate a sunflower in memory of a loved one.
The dedicated flowers will be displayed around the pond within the grounds of Bury Hospice from:
Friday 31st July 2026 until Friday 21st August 2026
Visitors will be able to view the display during this period.
After the display concludes, participants will be able to collect their sunflower as a lasting keepsake and reminder of their dedication.
Everyone who dedicates a flower will also receive a personalised dedication card.
Dedication Options
Sunflowers are available for:
- A minimum donation of £25 for one sunflower
- A minimum donation of £40 for two sunflowers
Every donation helps Bury Hospice continue providing care and support to local families when they need it most.
